We regret that recent cuts to our funding and the risk environment going forward, leaves the owners with no option but to wind down the PEI business over the next 12 months. Unfortunately, this will mean that PEI will not be taking any new enrolments in 2012. The decision to close PEI at the end of 2012 was made internally and has not been taken lightly. It was not enforced by Government authorities and does not reflect on the abilities or attributes of our staff. We have engaged staff in a period of consultation to ensure that all possible options for the future have been considered. All staff were informed of their positions on 16/01/2012. We are working with them during this very difficult time and will provide them with as much support as we can. PEI is committed to ensuring that all of its current students are not impacted by this decision. PEI is 100% committed to continuing our services and support to its current student base in 2012. All services and support afforded to students shall remain until they have completed their course of study. A number of staff will remain to provide this service. We have informed all our current students and have wished them all the best with their studies and look forward to celebrating their success. Tony Zieltjes Chairman of PEI |
